Our Garden

Woke up this morning to snow, which put paid to any thoughts of going to Fairburn for a quick look at Lyn Dyke Hide.  So settled down for a bit of back garden birding.

As usual the Blackbirds were very busy on the ground and assorted finches were on the feeders.  I'd just got the scope set up when I saw something different on one of the niger feeders.  Luckily I had my camera to hand and got this shot, which I've got to say I'm pretty proud of........

This is the first Blackcap we've seen in the back garden for four years and a great addition to both my Garden and UK 2010 lists.  Not so sad about staying in now!
